Why elevators rather than pneumatic conveying
Pneumatic conveying costs air, and air costs power on every metre of the route. A bucket elevator lifts material mechanically and only pays for the height. In a plant whose headline claim is power per tonne, that is the right trade — and it is why the technical specification marks pneumatic conveying as not supplied.
