Dynamic Classifier

The machine that decides how fine the product is. A rotating cage inside a static guide-vane ring, with the cut point set by cage speed.

How it works

The principle behind the specification.

How the cut point works

Material entering the cage meets two forces: drag from the air carrying it inward, and centrifugal force throwing it outward. Fine particles have too little mass for centrifugal force to win, so they pass through the cage and leave as product. Coarse particles are rejected outward and fall back to the mill. Raising the cage speed raises the centrifugal force, so the balance point moves finer.

Why it is called high-efficiency

A static separator's cut is blurred — a lot of fine material is rejected with the coarse and goes round again for nothing. A driven cage sharpens the cut, so less already-finished material re-enters the mill. That is where the energy saving in a closed circuit comes from.
