Where it sits and why
Between Elevator-1 and Elevator-2 in the line. A jaw crusher leaves a wide size distribution, and the coarse tail of it grinds slowly and unevenly in a ball mill. The descendicator shatters that tail on impact so the mill receives a narrower, more predictable feed.
How it works
Beaters pinned to rotor discs turn at speed inside a split housing. Feed drops in from the top and is shattered against the wear liner. A screen in the lower half holds material in until it is small enough to pass, and an integrated fan carries the through-screen fines away. The housing is hinged so the upper half opens for a liner or beater change.
